how to fold a paper airplane?

In 2022, Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan on August 2nd sparked immediate tension with China. Her diplomatic mission led to new trade restrictions on Taiwan and announced military exercises from China. Working in San Francisco at the time, I observed through media the escalating Chinese military presence and Taiwan's democratic evolution. This brought the hidden conflict in the Western Pacific to the forefront.
As I delve into research, the gravity of current geopolitics becomes apparent. The number of Chinese fighter jets approaching Taiwan's Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) has been increasing significantly each day. When I finally returned home visiting my family in summer 2024, everything seemed oddly normal. Businesses operated as usual, and protests continued.

Facing the unimaginable geopolitics of the Taiwan Cross Strait , my cameras and photographs seem like a futile effort. In my terrible dream, a giant red paper airplane flies across a table. These photographs carry a weight. It is not the heaviness of Taiwan Cross Strait relations, and it certainly is not the complexity of Taiwanese history. The weight, however, is the lightness of a big red airplane.
